Htaccess Configuration Issue Fixed
A WordPress troubleshooting project to fix .htaccess errors, fixing broken links and restoring full access to the website.
About This Project
This project was to repair a WordPress site that was hacked due to a misconfigured .htaccess file. The problem resulted in broken page links, inaccessible content and disrupted navigation and negatively impacted user experience and search engine visibility.
This required a deep check of the rewrite rules and server configuration of the website to identify the root cause. WordPress default rules restored, permalink structures regenerated and the updated configuration was tested extensively. The end result was a fully working website with all pages and URL’s working properly again.
